STARTING APRIL 15, 2024, ALL VIDEOS UPLOADED TO PANOPTO WILL REMAIN IN THE USER’S FOLDER FOR 2 YEARS. AT THE END OF THIS 2-YEAR TERM, ANY VIDEOS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN ACCESSED WILL BE PERMANENTLY DELETED.

VIDEOS THAT HAVE BEEN ACCESSED WILL BE MOVED TO AN ARCHIVE FOLDER. ARCHIVED VIDEOS WILL REMAIN IN THE ARCHIVE FOLDER FOR 1 YEAR, THEN BE PERMANENTLY DELETED AT END OF THAT 1-YEAR PERIOD.

With Panopto you can:

  • Record a class lecture so that students can review the content later
  • Panopto recordings capture video, audio, PowerPoint, and screen capture components to create presentations that students can then search, reference, and review on-demand
  • Upload your own videos or videos created on another platform
  • Panopto allows you to upload related PDF files so that all relevant information is included within the recording.
  • Content is published to the Panopto server and accessed by students via your Canvas course.
