What’s something you’re passionate about that you’d love to share with your colleagues?
This semester we are piloting a new initiative called Snack and Share. Snack and Share is a casual, staff and faculty-led series where colleagues teach one another about a topic, idea, or practice they care about. Your topic might come from your discipline, a subject you love teaching, a skill you’ve developed, or a teaching strategy or tool you’ve found especially valuable.
The goal is to engage your colleagues in something you’re excited about—whether that means introducing us to a fascinating topic from your field, helping us see something from a new perspective, teaching us how to do something, or sharing a practice that has made a difference in your classroom.
Each Snack and Share will be a 20 to 30-minute session designed to be interactive and conversational rather than a formal presentation. Think about what you could share that would make your colleagues curious, interested, or eager to join the conversation.

We’re looking for faculty and staff who are passionate about a topic and want to share that enthusiasm with colleagues across the university. If you have something you love teaching, talking about, or doing, we’d love to hear about it.

Nearly every course at Bryant incorporates team project work in some form. Yet students often have limited experience with the skills needed to successfully plan, manage, and present a project.
In this session, project management expert Rob Massoud will share practical strategies faculty can use to help students approach team projects more professionally. Participants will explore ways to guide students through project planning and management, strengthen collaboration and accountability, and effectively communicate and present their project results.

Janice Dexter-Ganek, ELL Writing Specialist and Storyteller, took us on a journey to answer the question "what is storytelling, and why does it matter?" In this session, hosted on Wednesday October 14, 2026, Janice shared her experience of becoming a storyteller and introduced us to the organizations that preserve and promote the medium. As participants, we were given the opportunity to engage in an interactive exercise "Tell It In a Minute" to tell our own stories and reflect on the connections that arose.

On Wednesday October 7, 2026, we joined Jackie Morrill, Assistant Director of ACE and Writing Center Services, as she engaged us in a lively conversation about Technophobia in Horror Media. In this session, Jackie examined horror through the lenses of post-humanism, primitivism, and the rise of AI/robotics to answer the question of are these films a reflection of our reliance or harbingers of a more sinister future?

In his session, Rob provided invaluable advice on supporting students through project planning, peer collaboration, taking accountability, and presentation skills.

Vibe Coding to Build a Faculty Teaching Resource
On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, we joined Mike Roberto, Professor of Management, as he demonstrated using Lovable - an AI Platform - to create a faculty facing website for BUS400 case study preparation.
In his presentation, Mike showcased how Lovable enabled him to build a platform that seamlessly pulls live financial data for spotlighted companies and displays it through an intuitive and streamlined interface. Mike's demonstration highlighted how accessible these powerful tools have become for educators.
