The Division of Academic Affairs at Bryant University invites your participation in the 2nd Annual Summit on Teaching and Learning on Thursday, May 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The program includes
- “ABCs of Grading at Bryant”, a broad discussion on grading practices, philosophies, and their relationship to student learning
- “Immersive Learning”, a presentation by Emory Craig of the College of New Rochelle on the emerging learning opportunities offered by VR and 360video
- “Online Teaching the Bryant Way”, a presentation on the pedagogies and instructional design practices behind Bryant’s online Professional MBA program
- “Difficult Classroom Conversations”, a presentation and discussion facilitated by Dr. Kevin Martins, PwC Center for Diversity & Inclusion
The keynote and workshop on “Terms of Engagement” will feature Professor Claire Howell Major from the University of Alabama.
The objective of the Summit is to bring faculty together to share information, collaborate, design, and develop approaches and best practices in support of innovative teaching. It is also an opportunity for faculty in different disciplines to exchange ideas, develop collaborations, and maintain a dynamic and innovative teaching climate.
