OER Survey

Open Educational Resources

The Krupp Library is interested in gathering information about how Bryant faculty engage with Open Educational Resources (OER), so that we can create opportunities to learn about OER, as well as support faculty who are interested in teaching using these resources. We also want to learn how Bryant faculty may already be making use of OER. We would appreciate your participation in a five question survey.

Even if you do not use OER or are unfamiliar with OER, please respond; your feedback is extremely valuable to us.

Please contact Meagan Joseph mjoseph4@bryant.edu or Sam Simas ssimas2@bryant.edu with questions about this survey or Open Educational Resources.

Thank you for your participation and as always, the library is here to help!

Library Makerspace

Did you know that the Krupp Library has an incubator space? Bello 215, located on the second floor of the library is open for business! This innovative makerspace provides access to several tools and technologies to help Bryant faculty, staff, and students design, create, and iterate. Library staff are familiar with the tools in the space and can help you to get started exploring and experimenting. This space is co-supported by Academic Computing and has been partially funded by a Champlin grant spearheaded by Provost Sulmasy. More details at https://cte.bryant.edu/library-makerspace/.

We are always open to suggestions for other types of technologies and are currently investigating the usefulness of a sewing machine for this space.  If you have any other suggestions please feel free to email them to library@bryant.edu or give us a call 401-232-6125.  Looking forward to seeing you explore and create in your library!

Panopto Blackboard Video Assignment

Panopto now supports video assignments!

Creating Panopto videos hasn’t changed, but now you can add an assessment component to your videos (True/False, Multiple Choice, Fill in the Blank) and have the results of that assessment appear in your Blackboard Grade Center like any other assignment, test, etc.

Want to make sure students are watching your videos? Add quiz questions to any part of your videos and with the new Blackboard assessment integration, those results will appears in Blackboard!

To learn more, please attend our information session on Wednesday, February 27th at 1:00pm in the Gulski Conference Room.

Peergrade is an online application that allows your students to grade one another and provide feedback. Peergrade was born with the idea of letting students partake in the evaluation process as a way to provide them with more feedback and a possibility for extended learning.

Students upload their work (written, videos, graphics, etc.) to Peergrade and then give each other feedback based on the feedback rubric created by the teacher.

The whole process takes place online within Peergrade.

To attend a workshop on Peergrade please register at: https://bookme.bryant.edu/event/5137394?hs=a
